This can be a good or a bad thing... depending on who you are and how you look at! I'm not so much looking forward to it! ;)

Support group for August---

Back to School Basics

Thursday the 18th at 6:30 in the New U Clinic

We will be having a refresher course in New U Living 101!

Call 529-7373 to enroll

It will be fun! Some teasers for the rest of the year in New U Support Group World...

September- we will have a licensed counselor coming as a guest speaker- YEAH! When we have had these it the past attendees have LOVED it! ...so COME!

October- Dr. Bruggeman, a plastic surgeon from East Falls Plastic Surgery, will be giving a presentation! You don't want to miss this one (boys and girls!) This will be at 7:00 so make note of this. Depending on the response I get we may have to see if there is a classroom available so we can accommodate everyone!

November- Party month! It's our Holiday Bash!

December- who has time to think about putting one more thing on their to-do list this month! Relax... we will see you in January for our Anniversary Celebration! :)

And last but not least--- I want everyone to take note as to what day I posted! :D

July and a VERY fun announcement!

...I know.. I know- I'm slacking again! Support group is THIS Thursday at 6:30! It's summer and it BETTER be nice because we are going to be playing outside! :) yay! We will see you there-- it's more fun when we have lots of people, especially with games!

Ok are you ready for this?!? I'm SUPER DUPER excited for it!

We are getting a FACEBOOK page! Trust me I will be so much more on top of updating that with events and tidbits then this! Be sure to watch for us- I'll send out an email to those of you I have addresses for and post a link on here for you to 'like' us! :)

Happy End of May!

May showers.... bring June sun power?! I sure hope so! I'm ready to take in doses of Vitamin D-- see Amanda I do like to take some vitamins :)

At Support Group we missed MANY of you (ok so in fact we missed everyone but one person!)- it was a fun night! Shopped almost until they kicked us out! I really encourage you ladies to go get fitted for a bra if you haven't in the past few months. It's not scary!! And it's amazing what difference a proper fitting one makes! Take a friend with you and make a getaway out of it (pst a lil secret for ya.... in the next few weeks there is gonna be a mega sale at Victorias Secret so go get sized prior to this so you are prepared for the 'Black Friday' experience! Heck you may even run into me there!) We even got pink goody bags!

Next month is our out and about support group! IT IS GOING TO BE NICE! IT IS GOING TO BE NICE! IT IS GOING TO BE NICE! June 16th at 6:30- save the date! Eric is going to have some fun things for you to do! Let him know if there is anything special you would like him to focus on or help you with.

I'll be in the middle of nowhere Nebraska so be nice to him... see the picture--- this is where I board in their airport! YIKES! What will be waiting is worth it though! :)

Anniversary Celebration

Wow our Anniversary Celebration the end of January was SO much fun! I think it would be safe to say that everyone in the room was touched and each member of the New U Team had a tear in their eye! All of you are awesome and we love looking at the changes you have made to better your health each and every time we visit.

Making the slide show is my favorite part! A lot of the time it's hard to remember you looking like your before picture! I love it! :)

Next year will be even better right?! What did you guys think of the night? Is there something you would like to see next year that we forgot this time?

Support Group Info

Happy Spring! ...well at the calendar says it's Spring! I will take the rain over the snow (which is leaving- HOORAY!) so I'm not complaining!

Last month we took a chance to discuss what you guys would like to see for support groups.. there wasn't great attendance so if any of you were unable to make it PLEASE send me your ideas!

We have changed the night and time of support group so please note this ...

THE THIRD THURSDAY AT 6:30 PM

Another thing we discussed was having an email go out each month to remind you of support group. Do you like this idea?

April Support Group is going to be a fun one- we did something similar last year but we are going to expand it this time around!

Clothing Swap.. Fashion Show.. Transformation

Please bring in clothes that no longer fit that you are willing to 'swap out' for some that will work for you now. We have patients in all stages of the game so bring in a variety. Clothes are expensive so if we can share it's GREAT! You can drop off anything you have to share anytime in the clinic or bring them that night. It would also be a good idea to ask any neighbors or friends who may be cleaning out their closets to donate to that cause as well. Anything that has not been 'swapped' with someone will be donated! Last year we loaded a van for the Ruth House and The Haven- they were ever so grateful!

We will also have a new FLAVOR OF THE MONTH! (I'm soo excited for this one!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

.... I know-- it's been a while! I'll make it my resolution to do better (again!)! I'll blame it on the cold that it has froze all of my brain cells!

It's our Anniversary Celebration for Support Group this month! Everyone is invited to attend but our guest of honors will be those that have had reached their year mark! :) If this is you be sure to send in your pictures and we will spotlight you!

Be sure to mark your calendar for February 24th at 6 pm for our Support Group- I want your input on what you would like to have for each months group meeting! After all we do it for you so it should be what you want!!! It's our Blizzard Brainstorm!

November Support Group

Once again FYI- October Support Group has been cancelled... but I'm here to tell you about November!

Our holiday party is going to be November 18th at 6:00 in the New U Clinic. Please RSVP if you can- and you are more than welcome to bring someone with you (we would like a head count for planning if possible!) !

Don't forget your white elephant gift for our exchange... this is one of my favorite parts!
